Whilst mobile phone calls when abroad or when making calls overseas from the UK could fall with new legislation coming in the fact remains that small business owners who do business with other EU countries could find their costs rising as the EU threatens to have the legislation brought in meaning that suppliers of goods or services could find themselves supplying a business or consumer in one EU member state and having to defend complaints etc in under that member states legislation rather than the law applying in the UK. Imagine having to do this with one of the new entrants to the EU, it could be a nightmare. UK's small businesses are worried about these costs and the consequences of fraud which could be made easier if this kind of legislation is brought in. The question is - are the rest of the members states as advanced as the UK is with Consumer Legislation, - We don't think so! |
